As a young mom, I was obsessed with climbing the corporate ladder. I’d earned myself several promotions but I believed that if I could just make it to the next level then I would have the income I needed to have the freedom and time to spend with my family.
Kids grow up fast.
What I didn’t realize was that in my efforts to work hard for future freedom, I was missing the precious moments happening right in front of me.
It took some serious health issues to wake me up to what truly mattered to me and that my life was happening now - not in the future. Life, my family and my child wouldn’t wait for me to get to the top of that ladder.

You cannot pour from an empty cup. It takes deep love and self-compassion to fill your cup and keep it full so that you can embrace the life you actually want, not the one you think you should want.
